Class Topic:  Whole Life Acting -

A class for beginning and non-actors (18 years old and older) who wish to learn the basics of acting in a safe, creative, supportive environment.

Learn to uncover the emotions, imagination, and playfulness that we were told to "put aside" as we entered adulthood. The exercises in this class will encourage artists and non-artists alike to find and explore their creativity and imagination through the use of sensory work, transference, imagination, recall, improvisation, monologues, and "Whole Life Acting."

Discover tools that will allow you to express and communicate the full emotional range that lies within each of us, and acquire the skills to break through and connect at a deeper level with another person through the language and content of our inner self.

Using the tools in this class, you will learn how not to "act," but rather to build an honest character and have that character be "in the moment" throughout a scene or a play.

For those students who are interested, scene study will be offered after an appropriate amount of foundation work is completed.

Ongoing small to large workshop
