Corrie Ten Boom Sermons - Corrie ten Boom (April 15, 1892 – April 15, 1983) was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, the youngest of three sisters and one brother. Her father was a watchmaker and she was raised in the Dutch Reformed Church. She never married. Corrie was able to rescue many Jews from certain death at the hands of the Nazi SS during the Holocaust. In 1940 the Nazis invaded the Netherlands and banned her club organization. By 1942 her family had become very active in the Dutch underground, hiding refugees. The family's work in saving Jews was motivated by their staunch Christian beliefs. They helped Jews unconditionally—regardless of whether they converted—and even provided Kosher food and honored the Sabbath. The Nazis arrested the entire ten Boom family in 1944; they were sent first to Dutch prisons, and finally to the notorious Ravensbrück concentration camp in Germany, where Corrie's sister Betsie died. Corrie was released only days later: the war had ended. She returned to the Netherlands to begin rehabilitation centers. She went to Germany in 1946, beginning many years of itinerant preaching in over sixty countries, a time during which she wrote many books. Her preaching focused on the Christian Gospel, with emphasis on forgiveness. In her book Tramp for the Lord (1974), she tells the story of how, after she had been preaching in Germany in 1947, she was approached by one of the cruelest former Ravensbrück camp guards. She was naturally reluctant to forgive him, but prayed that she would be able to. She wrote that she was then able to forgive, and that: "for a long moment we grasped each other's hands, the former guard and the former prisoner. I had never known God's love so intensely as I did then." |

The groundbreaking work of acclaimed poet and translator Coleman Barks has made a 13th century Sufi mystic the best-selling poet in America today. It is said that only Coleman Barks can capture Rumi's themes of silence, emptiness, play, God, peace, grief, sexuality, music and more. Don't miss this opportunity to hear Barks breathe life into one of the great spiritual masters and poetic geniuses of all time. He is joined by vocalist Chloë Goodchild. Coleman Barks was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He taught poetry and creative writing at the University of Georgia for thirty years, and went to school at the University of North Carolina and UC Berkeley. In 1976 he met Robert Bly and began translating the 13th century mystic, Rumi. In 1995 the Rumi translations were collected in a definitive best-selling anthology, The Essential Rumi, and his translations of Rumi have now sold a half a million copies. The father of two grown children and grandfather of four, Barks has retired now from university teaching. He lives in Athens, Georgia. Running Time: 55 Min. "A Conversation With Coleman Barks"

Thought Vibration or The Law of Attraction In The Thought World by William Atkinson
William Walker Atkinson was a very important and influential figure in the early days of the New Thought Movement. By the early 1890's Chicago had become a major centre for New Thought, mainly through the work of Emma Curtis Hopkins, and Atkinson decided to move there and he became an active promoter of the movement as an editor and author. In 1900 he worked as an associate editor of Suggestion, a New Thought journal, and wrote his first book, Thought-Force in Business and Everyday Life, being a series of lessons in personal magnetism, psychic influence, thought-force, concentration, will-power & practical Mental Science. Atkinson wrote a great many other books on New Thought as well, which became very popular and influential among New Thought devotees and practitioners and achieved wide circulation. Beginning 1916 he started writing articles for Elizabeth Towne's magazine The Nautilis, and from 1916 to 1919 he edited the journal Advanced Thought, and was for a time honorary president of the International New Thought Alliance.

The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace. Wattles (The Complete Book)
Wallace Wattles wrote a number of books including Health Through New Thought and Fasting, The Science of Getting Rich, The Science of Being Great, and The Science of Being Well, but it is for his prosperity classic, The Science of Getting Rich that he is best known. Little is known
about Wattles' life. He was born in the USA shortly after the civil war, and
experienced much failure in his earlier years. Later in his life he took to
studying the various religious beliefs and philosophies of the world
including those of Descartes, Spinoza, Leibnitz, Schopenhauer, Hegel,
Swedenborg, Emerson, and others. It was through his tireless study and
experimentation that he discovered the truth of New Thought principles and
put them into practice in his own life. He began to write books outlining
these principles. He practiced the technique of creative visualisation and
as his daughter Florence relates, "He wrote almost constantly. It was then
that he formed his mental picture. He saw himself as a successful writer, a
personality of power, an advancing man, and he began to work toward the
realization of this vision. He lived every page ... His life was truly the
powerful life." |

How Meditation Works Meditation is an extremely simple process. It follows three distinct steps; we start with the superficial, scattered mind, we then progress by virtue of our hearts concentration - to deeper, analytical thinking and finally from this very deep thinking we enter into intuitive states, revelations, "I know this is right" feelings or extremely vivid goals or intense creativity or spiritual dreams. When thinking stops and intuitive experience takes over, this is meditation. Running Time: 25 Mins.
